One Thing to Try This Week
Forgiveness starts with small actions that show your commitment to repairing trust. Try one of these:
Apologize specifically: Skip the generic “I’m sorry” and name the behavior. For example, “I realized I quickly dismissed your idea without proper consideration, and that wasn’t fair.”
Follow through on small commitments: Showing reliability in small things signals your genuine intention to repair trust.
Acknowledge contributions: Shine a light on someone’s efforts during a meeting. Feeling seen helps us heal.
