Culture is often pictured as something abstract; hard to grasp. But it doesn’t have to be that way. That’s why I created the Culture Design Canvas seven years ago – a practical tool to intentionally map and improve organizational culture.
Despite its global success with over 500,000 users, many still view the CDC (for short) as limited to large organizations and big projects. They overlook its multiple, versatile applications, but I’m here to set the record straight.
Often, people ask if it can be used with teams or small companies. The answer is yes for both – but that’s just the starting point. You can use the CDC for simple tasks such as team reflection or onboarding new members, as well as more complex goals such as culture transformations and M&A integrations.
